Dhoni men asking for pound of flesh

Mumbai: After winning the ICC World Cup, MS Dhoni led men in blue are asking for Rs 3 to Rs 5 crore for their feat. They are not happy with Rs 1 crore that was announced by the BCCI. Highly placed sources claim that players even refuse to accept Rs one crore. As this is not enough,Indian selectors have also asked for Rs 75 lakh to Rs one crore. They too are not happy with Rs 25 lakh as bonus announced by the BCCI.

However, Mr. Rajeev Shukla, vice president of the BCCI,denies that either players or selectors have asked for more money than what Board has already announced for them. “ I do not know how this baseless news is circulated. It has no basis at all,” Mr. Shukla concludes.

Sources say that some of the key players, led by a key bowler of the Indian side, are demanding more bonus from Board. They feel that what was announced for them by BCCI is absolutely paltry. They deserve more considering their phenomenal feat. Players are reportedly unhappy that while support staff got huge bonus, they were denied their due.
